Tales to Terrify: "The Rats in the Walls," "The Horror at RedHook," "The House on the Borderlands", Liminal Space, and What Lies Beneath

The next installment of "Horror 101" is up over at Tales to Terrify. I'm nearing the end of my examination of "The House" motif in the horror genre, and this time I covered a few stories featuring houses and the THINGS hiding beneath them. Also, I talked about liminal spaces, transgressing boundaries, and how so often in horror, transgressing these boundaries into places we don't "belong" and encountering a  terrifying, horrible "Other" is what provides a sensation of horror and displacement.
