The cover for the new edition of DEVOURER OF SOULS is finished, and it's another Ben Baldwin wonder. DEVOURER OF SOULS was initially published through Ragnarok Publications, but the publisher and I both felt it would be better off at a more horror-centric publisher, (Ragnarok specializes mostly in fantasy/urban fantasy/dark fantasy), so Crystal Lake picked it up, which made sense, seeing as how CL is the home of my other Clifton Heights books. DEVOURER OF SOULS will re-release late March.

I was stunned to learn yesterday that Shawn Mawcomber of Fangoria.com picked THROUGH A MIRROR, DARKLY and A NIGHT AT OLD WEBB as his #1 AND #2 choices for Fangoria's Best Horror Reads of 2015, joining Brian Keene, John Skipp, Mercedes Yardley, Mark Allen Gunnells and Adam Cesare. Actually, saying I'm stunned is a bit of an understatement. Blown away is more like it. Here's what he had to say:

Lucia’s beguiling 2013 Bradbury-meets-Barker collection THINGS SLIP THROUGH introduced readers to the supernatural hot spot of Clifton Heights, a small Adirondack town possessed by more than its fair share of things that go bump in the night (and all other times of the day, too…). In 2015, Lucia extended two equally enchanting invitations to his narrative stamping grounds, first taking us on a surreal romp through the looming stack of the rare and used bookshop Arcane Delights in THROUGH A MIRROR, DARKLY before luring us out, Ghost of Christmas Past-style, to an abandoned grammar school for the coming-of-age novella A NIGHT AT OLD WEBB, wherein we dive deeper into the bookseller’s backstory to truly affecting effect.

Congrats to everyone else on the list!
